Pawhuska First Baptist Church dates back to 1899.

Saturday, April 27 – Pawhuska Chamber of Commerce 2024 Gala. This annual fundraiser will be from 6-10 p.m. in the Agriculture (Ag) Building at the Osage County Fairgrounds. The theme will be “150 years of the Kentucky Derby.” Contact the Chamber at 918-287-1208 if you have questions about tickets. The Chamber Gala is an important fundraising event.

Sunday, April 28 – First Baptist Church of Pawhuska, 302 East 6th Street, will celebrate its 125th anniversary. Worship is at 9:30 a.m. There will be a catered lunch. Call the church at 918-287-3703 for additional information.

Tuesday, April 30 – The Osage Nation Museum is scheduled to have new operating hours as of this date. The Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.

Tuesday, April 30 – The Osage County Republican Party will offer to the public a Candidate Forum, with candidates for county elected offices on-hand. The forum will be in the Agriculture (Ag) Building at the Osage County Fairgrounds. The doors are to open at 6 p.m. and the event is to be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Admission is free. The featured activity is to be a debate between Sheriff’s Office candidates Bart Perrier and Eddie Virden.

Thursday, May 2 – The Osage County Historical Society will hold its annual “Heroes and Legends” program in the Agriculture (Ag) Building at the Osage County Fairgrounds. The program will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will feature dinner, a live auction and the introduction of the 2024 honorees. Tickets are $35 each, or $250 for a reserved table of six seats. Tickets are only being sold in advance, and are available at the Osage County Historical Society Museum, 700 Lynn Ave., Pawhuska (918-287-9119). Historical Society board members will also have tickets for sale. Board members are: Jerry Butterbaugh, Faren Anderson, Kathryn Chambers, Garrett Hartness, Shirley Roberts and Carter Rogers. The 2024 “Heroes and Legends” honorees are: Dale Nielson, of Skiatook; Chad Renfro and Julie O’Keefe, of the Osage Nation; Maria and Marjorie Tallchief, of Fairfax; Lonnie Underhill, of Fairfax; and Rhonda Wallace, of Hominy.

Saturday, May 4 – Help Works and the Pawhuska Elks Lodge will present the “Fun on the Farm” bingo fundraiser. The event, which will be held in the Elks building at 2542 Elks Lodge Drive, is to begin at 5 p.m. Advance tickets will be $15 and tickets purchased at the door will be $18. Monday, May 6 – The 2024 Pawhuska All Sports Awards Ceremony is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Constantine Theater, 110 West Main Street.
