Hello, Osage County!

Please allow me to introduce myself. I'm Shawna M. Myers, and I am proudly serving as your Osage County GOP Chair. Don't worry if you've never heard of my title; I'm here to bridge that gap. One of my roles revolves around facilitating access to information and engaging with our voters; I am also here to provide education and training. My job is to provide all Republicans in Osage County with information on anything related to the Republican Party. From knowing who is running for office in your community to understanding the roles of various positions such as Senators, Representatives, Commissioners, County Clerks, or Court Clerks – when you have a problem or concern, I'm here to help you get those concerns to the correct person.

Another role of mine is to introduce our county candidates to you before our elections, like at our upcoming Sheriff's Office candidate forum on April 30, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. at the Agriculture (Ag) Building at the Pawhuska Fairgrounds. Our second will be in Skiatook at Central Park on May 18, 2024, at our first-ever Poker Run and campaigning event with our candidates. We will have our candidates available for you to speak with, grab yard signs to take home and show your support to everyone driving by. We will have a fundraising meal for $7.00 that includes a hamburger or hotdog, chips, a cookie, and water, and we will also have Trump merchandise!

Local politics may not always make the headlines, but it drives our daily lives. It shapes our education, infrastructure, public safety, and economic development. As active voters, we can shape these policies and secure a better future for ourselves and future generations. Your voice is not just important but key to our county thriving.

As we enter the 2024 election season, I want to share something: Let's pledge to foster conversations, respect, and thoughtfulness. Let's ensure this election season remains honest and respectful, grounding our viewpoints securely in facts rather than hearsay. We must uphold the principles of constructive political dialogue, steering clear of divisive tactics and baseless rumors. Together, let's prioritize informed discourse and elevate the integrity of our political engagement.

We typically have monthly party meetings rotating between Pawhuska and Skiatook. For more information on our upcoming meetings, events, elected officials, candidates, and how to register to vote, please visit our website at www.osagecountygop.com.

So, let's exercise our right to vote with integrity and wisdom. Let's commit to maintaining Osage County as a stronghold of informed citizenry, where the exchange of ideas is respected and celebrated.

If you see me out, please stop and say, "Hello," or message me from my website listed above if you have any questions.

Please note: The Osage County GOP will not endorse during the primaries. My role is not to tell you who to vote for but to introduce the candidates for your consideration.
